CHEERS TICKETS

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 6, 2026

Your privacy is extremely important to us at Cheers Tickets. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect (or, in our case, largely don't collect), use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Cheers Tickets Platform. In short, we aim to collect no personal data from you, giving you control over your information. Cheers Tickets is a decentralized application (dApp) for ticketing, which by design minimizes the personal data involved. Please read this policy to understand how we handle your data and to know your rights. By using Cheers Tickets, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, as well as our Terms & Conditions.

Cheers Tickets does not require any form of KYC (Know Your Customer) or identity verification to use our services. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, date of birth, government ID, email, or phone number just for you to use the Platform. In other words, we will never ask you for personal details and there's no KYC necessary to use Cheers Tickets. Our users interact with the Platform through blockchain wallets, either one they already control (e.g., MetaMask) or one created for them automatically when they log in by email, and your blockchain address is generally the only "identifier" you use on our Platform. A wallet address by itself is a pseudonymous string and is not considered personal information (it does not directly identify an individual). We do not link your wallet address to your real identity. Because we do not collect personal data, we also do not store personal data. There are no user accounts in the traditional sense. Your "account" is your crypto wallet. We do not build profiles of our users. The one exception is the optional public profile described below, which you create yourself, fill in yourself, and control. As a result, we cannot and do not sell, rent, or misuse your personal information. We simply never gather it in the first place.

If you choose to purchase cryptocurrency via a third-party service that is linked to or embedded in Cheers Tickets (for example, a payment processor or exchange widget that lets you buy crypto with a credit card to then use on our Platform), please be aware that those third-party services may require you to complete KYC or provide personal information, as part of their own processes and legal obligations. Any information you provide to such third parties is not received or stored by Cheers Tickets. We do not control third-party KYC requirements; that is a separate relationship between you and the external service provider. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any such third-party services before providing your data. To reiterate, Cheers Tickets itself remains KYC-free. You can use our core platform without ever giving out personal details.

The same applies if you use our email + card checkout option instead of connecting an existing wallet. That flow is handled by two specific third parties: Dynamic.xyz, which authenticates you by email and creates a wallet on your behalf, and Banxa, which processes the card payment and delivers USDC to that wallet. Your email address and any card or identity information you provide go directly to Dynamic.xyz and Banxa under their own privacy policies. Cheers Tickets never receives, sees, or stores that information. All we ever see is the public wallet address that results, the same as with any other wallet.

If you choose to set up a public profile from the Account page, the details you enter are stored by Cheers Tickets, off-chain, keyed by your wallet address. Those details can include a username, display name, short bio, avatar image, website, X, Instagram and Facebook handles, a contact email, and your visibility settings. Every one of them is optional except the username, and every one is shown publicly only if you switch it on. Two settings deserve a specific mention: showing the events you host and showing the events you are attending are both looked up on the public blockchain by wallet address, so turning either on makes your wallet address visible on your page even if the separate address switch is off. The profile editor says so next to those switches.

If you follow other profiles from the Community page, or they follow you, those connections are stored as pairs of wallet addresses and are shown publicly under Following and Followers. Following someone reveals nothing beyond what their profile already shows, and a profile that opted out of search can still appear in the lists of people who follow it. Either side can remove a follow at any time.

Profile data is used for one purpose: rendering your public page, the Community lists, and your name and avatar as the organizer on events you host. It is not used for marketing, not sold, and not shared with third parties except the infrastructure that stores it (Supabase) and serves it (Vercel). Saving or changing a profile requires a message signed by your wallet, so nobody else can edit it. You can change any field or switch everything off at any time, and you can ask Support to delete the profile entirely. If a profile is hidden for a Terms violation, its page and search entry are removed while the data stays editable by you.

To make the Platform work, Cheers Tickets keeps a small amount of operational data off-chain. All of it is keyed by public wallet addresses, ticket ids, event ids, and transaction hashes that are already visible on the blockchain; none of it contains names, emails, or other personal identifiers. It includes: the pretty URL assigned to each event; an index of which wallet currently holds each ticket, rebuilt from on-chain transactions so that pages load quickly; check-in records (event, ticket, wallet, time) so that a ticket admits once; marketplace listings; an event's public edit history; and moderation logs of cancellations and admin actions. Check-in lists for an event are visible only to that event's host. Our API also applies short-lived rate limits keyed by IP address to prevent abuse of forms and uploads; those counters live in memory for a few minutes, are never written to a database, and are never linked to a wallet.

Cheers Tickets offers an optional, opt-in verification program for event hosts who want access to early and repeated withdrawal of their ticket proceeds, ahead of the standard 3-day post-event hold. This program is entirely separate from using the core Platform to buy or sell tickets, which remains free of any identity requirement as described above. If you choose to apply, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm you are who you say you are (for example, your name and contact details, and verification of your event history or organization). Any information you provide for this purpose is used solely to evaluate and administer your verified-host status, is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes, and is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose or as required by law. Approval or denial for this program is at Cheers Tickets' discretion. You may decline to participate at any time and continue using the Platform on the standard, identity-free basis described elsewhere in this Policy.

When you purchase a ticket on Cheers Tickets, that ticket is minted as a non-fungible token (NFT) on a public blockchain. This means your ticket transaction and the existence of the ticket NFT are recorded on the blockchain ledger, which is publicly visible and verifiable by anyone. For example, if you buy an NFT ticket, the blockchain records the purchase and this record is publicly verifiable (anyone can see that a wallet address purchased a ticket NFT). No personal information is embedded in this blockchain record apart from the wallet addresses and event/ticket details, but it's important to understand that blockchain transactions are not private. Your Base (or other chain) address and the NFT ticket ID will be public information on the blockchain. This transparency is a fundamental feature of technology. It provides trust and proof of ownership (only legitimate ticket holders can access the event, thanks to the public verification). By using Cheers Tickets, you consent to your ticket purchase and ownership being reflected on a public blockchain. We do not have the ability to erase or alter this on-chain data, as it is maintained by the decentralized network. While this data is public, it is pseudonymous. It shows wallet addresses, not real names. Cheers Tickets does not publicly expose any personal data about you, because we don't collect any. But transactions themselves (and related smart contract events) are visible by design, and that includes a host's choice to delegate an event to a co-organizer, which is stored on-chain as a pairing of the event and that wallet address. Please only use the Platform if you are comfortable with the blockchain's public nature. Note: We do not use the on-chain data to personally profile users; any analysis of blockchain data on our end is only to improve the platform and prevent fraud, not to identify individuals.

Since we do not have personal profiles of users, most interactions and any form of "targeting" on Cheers Tickets is done through wallet addresses and on-chain activity. Wallet addresses may receive assets or NFTs based on shared interests or event participation, but no personal data is ever involved or stored. For instance, event organizers or Cheers Tickets itself might airdrop a special NFT (such as a souvenir, badge, or promotional token) to the wallet addresses of users who attended a particular event or series of events. This is done to enhance your experience (think of it as getting a free collectible or bonus for being part of an event or community). These airdrops or rewards are determined solely by on-chain criteria (e.g., all wallets that hold a ticket NFT for Event X might receive a bonus NFT). We do not know the actual identity behind your wallet, and we do not attach any off-chain personal data to your address. The process is automated and permissionless. No personal information is collected, stored, or needed for these rewards. We only need your public wallet address, which we already have by virtue of you using it on the Platform. We never sell or exploit information about your event attendance beyond using it to directly give you relevant on-chain rewards. We might also use aggregated data (like number of attendees for a category of events) to improve our services, but nothing is tied to personal identities. In summary, any outreach or distribution of digital assets we do is done through on-chain means, not by harvesting personal data. You won't receive marketing emails from us, creepy personalized ads, or phone calls, because we literally don't have that information. Your wallet may receive cool NFTs or tokens from time to time due to your participation, but that's as far as it goes.

Cheers Tickets does not use any cookies or trackers to profile you across the internet. We do not build advertising profiles, and we have no interest in exploiting user data. Because we don't collect personal info, there's nothing to track or sell. We do not share data with advertisers, and apart from the analytics service described below we do not share it with third parties. Any analytics we perform are generally on anonymous, aggregate usage data (for example, total number of tickets sold this month, or which blockchain network is most used) and not on individual users. To understand traffic on our site we use Google Analytics, which counts visits and page views in aggregate (for example, which pages are read, the type of device, and the approximate region). It identifies a browser by a random cookie ID, never by your name, email or wallet address, and we never send it your wallet address or ticket details. Cheers Tickets does not use IP addresses for any purpose of our own, beyond whatever handling is inherent to the platforms and tools that serve the site to you (for example our hosting provider, Vercel, which processes request data as a normal part of delivering the site, and Google Analytics, which receives your IP address with each page view). We do not build browser fingerprints or tie such data to individuals ourselves. Our philosophy is simple: what we don't have, we can't misuse or leak. By minimizing data collection, we inherently protect your privacy. In the event that you voluntarily provide us information (for example, if you email Support, thereby giving us your email address and maybe a name), we will use that information only for the purpose of addressing your inquiry or issue. We will not add it to any marketing list or share it without your consent. Once your support issue is resolved, we do not retain your personal communications longer than necessary. We will never misuse any contact information you choose to provide.

Your wallet connection and session are kept in your browser because the app needs them to work. When you first visit, a notice at the bottom of the page explains our other cookies, and your answer is remembered. For visitors in the United States, any basic analytics cookies we use (the anonymous, aggregate kind described above) are on by default and stay on unless you choose "Decline". We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off unless you choose "OK". None of this is used to profile you or for advertising. The analytics service is Google Analytics, which sets the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_* (see how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). You can change your answer at any time with , also at the bottom of every page.

Even though we collect minimal data, Cheers Tickets takes the security of any data (however limited) very seriously. Our smart contracts are public and independently verifiable on-chain. For the small amount of information that might pass through our systems (such as support emails or blockchain transactions), we implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access or alteration. Keep in mind, your primary "account" information is your wallet and private key, which we do not control. It is crucial that you secure your own wallet credentials. That is the most sensitive data, and it stays entirely on your side. We recommend using good password practices, hardware wallets, and other security steps to protect your crypto assets. Cheers Tickets cannot access your wallet or funds, which is by design for your security. If we ever become aware of a data incident that could affect you (for instance, if our website or a third-party integration is compromised in a way that might leak user info), we will inform our community through appropriate channels. Given our minimal data approach, such risks are greatly reduced.

Because we do not collect personal data, traditional data subject rights (like the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information) are typically not applicable in the usual way. There's nothing to access or delete on our side in terms of personal profile, since we don't have one for you. You are essentially anonymous/pseudonymous on our Platform. If you have any concerns about privacy or want to inquire about any data that might be associated with you, you can contact us, and we will do our best to assist even if it's just confirming that we indeed have no personal data of yours on file. If you want to stop using Cheers Tickets and ensure no further data is collected, you can simply stop using the Platform. Unused ticket NFTs can be transferred or sold by you if you wish; we do not have any hidden data stored elsewhere. If you contact Support and provide personal info (like an email), you have the right to request deletion of that conversation or info. We will honor such requests and erase records of communications to the extent feasible. Since blockchain transactions are public and immutable, we cannot erase those, but remember they contain no personal identifiers. We cannot remove data from the blockchain (no one can), but that data is pseudonymous.

If you are in a jurisdiction with strong privacy laws (like the EU's GDPR or California's CCPA), note that because we intentionally process virtually no personal data, many of those provisions might not apply. However, we uphold the spirit of those laws by giving you full control and transparency over your own data. We won't ever sell your data (CCPA "Do Not Sell" is inherently observed), and if you ever have a privacy-related request, we will address it in line with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy if our practices change (for example, if we introduce a new feature that involves some data collection, which we currently do not do). If we make changes, we will notify users by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting the revised policy here. Significant changes will be communicated via our official channels (such as a blog or social media announcement). We encourage you to periodically review this Policy to stay informed of how we are protecting your information. By continuing to use Cheers Tickets after any Privacy Policy changes go into effect, you agree to the revised policy. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Platform.

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you can reach out to the Cheers Tickets team via Support. Because we value privacy, we commit to responding in a timely manner and to any reasonable requests or inquiries. We are passionate about user privacy and will be happy to discuss any aspect of this policy with you. If you have a marketing, sponsorship, media, interview or other request, please reach out via Contact.

Thank you for trusting Cheers Tickets. We believe that privacy is a fundamental right, and our goal is to collect no data unless absolutely necessary for providing the service. By eliminating unnecessary data collection, we aim to give you peace of mind and true control over your digital life. Enjoy the Platform knowing that your data is your own.

Final note: Fuck you, Mark Zuckerberg!
